Photo Manipulation

In the process of creating interesting email promotions for products, good product photography is really important, and often the images supplied by the manufacturer are pretty inadequate to work with. It would be great to have the time and equipment to do my own shoots, but alas, this is often not the case. When the text and brief for this speaker promo came to my desk I took the opportunity to create a lasting impression of weather resistance. Using photoshop I placed the benign-looking speaker into a dramatic, stormy landscape, added a torrential downpour, some fog, and "turned on" the gorgeous blue light in the speaker's base by airbrushing.
